We are looking for individuals to join our Laundry team to prepare hotel, restaurant, banquets, employee uniforms with other are linens for use and by properly sorting, laundering, drying, ironing, and folding .Come be part of the experience and tradition at The Westgate Hotel.

Classification: Non-Exempt 

Reports to:Laundry Manager 

Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Laundry Attendant would be responsible for performing the following tasks:

• Count and separate various types of linens and otherwise prepare them for laundering in a large volume commercial washing machine.
• Separate and untangle wet linens following the wash cycle.
• Place damp linens into laundry cart.
• Lifting large, but easily managed bundles, place moist linens into large commercial drier.
• Remove dried linens from dryers and put them into clean laundry cart.
• Feed linen through ironer and receive it as it comes out of the other end or hand-fold other linens that will not be ironed.
• Help co-workers wrap cleaned laundry and linens into bundles that do not weigh more than 45 pounds each.
• Store wrapped linen bundles in their proper storage area.
• May be required to deliver bundles to lodges’ linen storage areas.
• Correct maintenance and use of equipment such as start or stop, changing programs, clearing machine errors and jams, and cleaning includes operator maintenance.
• Sweep and vacuum floor.
• Keep dryer filters free of lint.
• Wipe down equipment surfaces with cleanser as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

• Ability to work weekends and may be asked to work both AM and PM shifts.
• Previous hotel laundry experience preferred.

This job operates in a professional environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment as well as equipment generally found in Hotels and Resorts. We serve "Employees First and Guests Always."

• Ability to physically be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds
